Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has started just two Premier League games all season.

According to Bleacher Report, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard and his coaching staff are very excited by what they have seen from Christian Pulisic on the training ground.

Pulisic has endured a difficult start at Chelsea, with the winger dropping out of the Blues’ starting line-up.

Pulisic has now featured for just 10 minutes in Chelsea’s last four Premier League matches, with Lampard favouring other options.

There are already concerns about the summer signing, who has failed to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge.

But Lampard and Chelsea’s coaches are reportedly impressed by what they have seen from Pulisic at Cobham.

Bleacher Report claim that Lampard thinks the American international has a huge amount of raw ability, although there are some frustrations emerging that he hasn’t been able to show his best on the pitch yet.

The problem for Pulisic is that Willian has been one of Chelsea’s best players in recent weeks, while Callum Hudson-Odoi is just returning from injury.

Pulisic now faces even more competition for a place in the Blues’ starting line-up, and it could be that he has to stay patient as he waits for another chance at Stamford Bridge.
