Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag reportedly rates Jadon Sancho highly amid claims that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur and Unai Emery’s Aston Villa want to sign him.

Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa reportedly want to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Earlier this month, The Daily Star reported that Tottenham are considering making a bid of £50 million for the £350,000-a-week (Spotrac) winger, but United want £60 million for the England international.

Football Transfers reported last week that Villa are “very interested” in the 23-year-old, but they do not want to pay £60 million for him.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that United head coach Ten Hag still rates Sancho highly.

Romano told CaughtOffSide: “I’m not aware of anything concrete at this stage for Jadon Sancho, despite links with Tottenham.

“Erik ten Hag has been protecting him in the best way this year and he’s still convinced that Jadon has great potential, so let’s see what happens, but for now I’m not aware of anything advanced with any other clubs or any plans from United to part ways with the player.”

Could Tottenham Hotspur or Aston Villa sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United?

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur or Aston Villa could struggle to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

While Sancho has not been at his best at United, he is still only 23.

It is simply too early to give up on the winger.

And the United bosses will know that.

Moreover, Spurs and Villa may not be too keen on paying £60 million for Sancho as well as pay him £350,000 per week.

The winger’s salary is just too much for Tottenham and Villa.
