Sources in Holland expect Erik ten Hag to stay with Ajax, despite strong links with the Tottenham Hotspur job, the Athletic say.

The Ajax boss has only just signed a new contract, but that doesn’t seem to have put Tottenham off.
Spurs seem to believe that prising the 51-year-old away from the Dutch club could still be possible.
However, well placed insiders in Holland don’t believe that a move to Tottenham is likely.
That may come as a disappointment to Tottenham fans, as Ten Hag looks one of the more appealing potential managerial appointments they could make.
The impressive manager has enjoyed great success both domestically and in Europe with Ajax, and he has done so in style.
If he could get Spurs playing in a similar manner, then he would quickly become very popular in North London.
But Tottenham fans hoping to see Ten Hag get the job may have to temper their expectations, if sources in Holland are correct.
