Declan Rice is waiting for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to make a new bid, but the West Ham United midfielder could make the move to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, according to a report.
The Guardian are reporting this morning that Arsenal and Manchester City are now involved in a bidding war over West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.
After City’s offer of £80m plus £10m in add-ons was rejected by West Ham, Rice is now waiting for Arsenal to make a bigger bid.
The report has added that “Rice’s preference remains Arsenal and the onus is on them to bring Mikel Arteta’s top target to the Emirates Stadium”.
However, the report has claimed that Rice “is not going to turn City down if they end up outbidding Arsenal”.

What should Arsenal do about Manchester City target Declan Rice?
According to The Guardian, West Ham United want £100 million in transfer fees for Declan Rice.
So, for Arsenal, it is very simple.
If they are to sign Rice and beat Manchester City to the signature of the England international, then they simply must pay the £100 million needed.
Now, Rice clearly wants to join Arsenal, so we do not think that it would be an issue for the Gunners to agree personal terms with the midfielder.
But, if City are willing to pay more in transfer fees for Rice than Arsenal, then it will indicate to the midfielder that the Citizens want him more than the Gunners.
