Report: What Dean Smith kept on saying to Aston Villa winger about Leeds defender

According to The Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa manager Dean Smith was telling Anwar El Ghazi that he had the better of Leeds United right-back Luke Ayling.

Villa won 1-0 against Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

El Ghazi scored the only goal of the match in the opening minutes, as the Villans enhanced their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

The Birmingham Mail has reported that Smith keeping making Leeds right-back Ayling ‘laugh and smirk in annoyance’ as he kept telling winger El Ghazi that he had the better of him.

Aston Villa were the better side

Villa were the better team overall against Leeds and deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.

True, the Villans went on the defensive mode in the second half, but the home team could not create much of note in attack.

According to WhoScored, El Ghazi took five shots, played three key passes, had a pass accuracy of 68.4%, won two headers, took 44 touches, attempted two dribbles, made one tackle, and put in six crosses.
