There is optimism inside the halls at Tottenham Hotspur that Antonio Conte won’t abandon ship this summer.

The Italian manager has spent large spells of his time as Tottenham manager relatively unhappy.

In January, Conte gave a couple of explosive interviews which cast doubt on his long-term future in North London, having only replaced Nuno Espirito Santo as recently as November.

And now there’s even more doubt after the 52-year-old found himself on Paris Saint-Germain’s shortlist of potential replacements for Mauricio Pochettino who, despite winning Ligue 1, hasn’t impressed his superiors at Parc des Princes over their Champions League failure in February.

However, The Daily Mail has reported that people inside the Lilywhites are confident that the no-nonsense former Inter Milan and Juventus coach will be sticking around beyond this summer.

The report also adds that Conte has told chairman Daniel Levy that he’ll need a minimum of six new players this summer.

Is Antonio Conte leaving Spurs?

Well, according to this link, no he isn’t.

But Conte is sort of renowned for being a little temperamental and therefore literally anything could happen between now and the start of next season.

What’s important is that Levy gives the Tottenham boss every reason to stay and a massive part of that is satisfying his transfer demands.

Conte clearly has a high standard for his employers to meet and failure to meet those standards will invariably result in him walking out the door.

This is a world-class manager who has been successful at every club he’s been at, enhancing the importance of the Spurs chairman satisfying him because, honestly, Levy won’t find a better coach and deep down, he probably knows it.
