Tottenham Hotspur’s new boss Antonio Conte has been keen to foster a sense of togetherness in his group, the Athletic report.
Increasing team spirit
Conte has only been at Tottenham for just over a week, but he has already implemented big changes at the club.
One of these alternations has been to make sure that the team eat together at lunch.
Mauricio Pochettino had been insistent on his Tottenham team eating together, but those standards had slipped in recent times.
There are claims in the Athletic that Nuno had wanted his side to stay together at lunch time, but if it wasn’t possible there were no consequences to eating alone.
Conte, though, said that it was ‘non-negotiable’ and that Tottenham’s players will always eat together from now on.
The Italian boss no longer wants the Spurs squad to feel like a fractured group and is insistent that small changes can help to improve the team spirit.

That should benefit Spurs, as the group hasn’t always seemed the most together in recent times.
Fixing the spirit?
Players have publicly questioned the attitude of others after defeats, with the Spurs group not feeling particularly close at times.
That could all change under Conte though, as his methods are already catching the eye.
Tottenham’s players ran further and sprinted more in Conte’s first Premier League game in charge than they ever did in Nuno, with standards being raised.
Spurs return to action after the international break with a game against Leeds United in two Sundays’ time.
