Marcelo Bielsa may be 68 years old, but he’s not finished yet.
Indeed, according to The Athletic, Bielsa has been telling people close to him that he’s ready for a return to the Premier League after being sacked by Leeds last year.
The Argentine coach, who was sacked by Leeds last February,, has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, including Everton and Bournemouth.
However, Bielsa is said to have turned down those opportunities because he doesn’t want to take on a mid-season job.
A summer return to the Premier League could be on the cards, though, and with Javi Gracia only on a contract until the end of the season at Elland Road, we can’t help but wonder if he could end up back at Leeds.

The 68-year-old is regarded as one of the most innovative coaches in the world, and his reputation was only enhanced during his time at Leeds. Under his guidance, the Whites won promotion back to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years, and they finished in the top-half during their first season back in the top-flight.
Bielsa’s attention to detail, high-pressing style of play, and tactical flexibility have won him many admirers in England, and there’s no doubt that his return to the Premier League would be warmly received by fans and pundits alike.
While a move back to Leeds would undoubtedly be popular, it’s probably more likely that Bielsa ends up at a different club in the Premier League.
Regardless of where he ends up, Bielsa’s return to the Premier League would undoubtedly be well-received. His passion for the game and his tactical nous have won him many fans in England, and it’s clear that he still has a burning desire to succeed at the highest level. Whether it’s at Leeds or another club, Bielsa is sure to make a significant impact on the Premier League whenever he returns.
