Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale remains happy at the club and a ‘vocal leader’ in training, the Athletic suggest.
Bale has barely been picked by Jose Mourinho of late, with many confused over the Tottenham winger’s lack of game time this season.
Although Bale has not been at his flying best since returning to Spurs, it was expected that a player of his quality would be afforded more time on the pitch.
Instead, Mourinho has favoured the likes of Lucas Moura, Carlos Vinicius and Steven Bergwijn, with Bale having to sit on the bench in recent weeks.
Despite this, the 32-year-old is still happy to be at Tottenham, the Athletic say.
They also claim that they have been told by a club source that Bale is very impressively behaved in training and he has taken on a leadership role.

The Welshman and Joe Hart apparently are excellent with Tottenham’s young players, and have shown impeccable attitudes throughout the campaign.
Things could, of course, still turn around for Bale – if he can force his way back into Mourinho’s side.
The winger has the quality to impact on Spurs’s first-team, and there still remains a space available on the right-hand side to Tottenham’s front-three, with nobody really nailing down the position.
Spurs are next in action against Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup at the weekend, when Bale looks almost certain to feature.
