Further details have emerged in the Times about Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s behaviour on Sunday, after being told he would not come on for Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur.
Aubameyang was dropped from Arsenal’s starting line-up at the weekend, after turning up late to the game.
The striker then was overlooked and not even brought on, much to his reported frustraton.
The Times claim that Aubameyang asked Arsenal coach Steve Round whether he would be going on in the 80th minute and was told no.
Aubameyang then apparently proceeded to sit on the bench and not talk to his teammates, as the realisation that he wouldn’t play a part set in.
It is now known that Aubameyang also didn’t take part in the warm down and quickly exited the stadium, which risks him being in further trouble, despite Arteta publicly stating that the matter was over after the game.

Thankfully for Arteta, the decision didn’t turn out to be too controversial with Arsenal supporters.
The Gunners went on to win the North London derby 2-1, and they produced an impressive display without their main goalscorer.
