Tottenham Hotspur could be eight points adrift in the race for Champions League qualification in a few hours.

Tottenham were held to a 2-2 draw away to Everton last night and if West Ham United win at Newcastle this afternoon, Jose Mourinho’s side will be eight points off the pace with six games left.

It’s so difficult seeing Spurs make up that deficit, particularly because Chelsea and Liverpool are in better form in the Premier League and both are ahead of them in the table.

It was another frustrating game for the North Londoners on Friday and Sergio Reguilon’s reported reaction to being substituted summed up the night.

According to Football London, the £27 million Spain international, who was replaced with Lucas Moura on 64 minutes, flung his coat to the ground in the dugout after being removed by Mourinho.

The Lilywhites have won just one of their last five Premier League games and at this stage of the season, it just isn’t good enough.
