According to The Mirror’s John Cross and The Telegraph, Ainsley Maitland-Niles will be asked to train away from the Arsenal first-team if he doesn’t leave the club before the deadline.
Arsenal have received an offer from Everton to take Maitland-Niles on loan for the remainder of the season, and it was reported that the Toffees’ offer was rebuffed.
Maitland-Niles took to Instagram to express his desire to join a club that wants him and will utilise him, and as you can imagine, that hasn’t gone down too well with the Gunners’ hierarchy.
Indeed, the England international has now been told to train away from the first-team squad, and will be asked to continue doing so if he can’t get a move away.
The Telegraph now claim that Arsenal are yet to respond to Everton’s offer, and after this update, it’s fair to say the Gunners may consider sending him to Goodison Park.
We knew there was going to be a fair bit of drama on deadline day, but this is seemingly a very volatile situation that has left all parties a bit aggrieved.
This is very much one to keep an eye on as the deadline approaches.
