According to Sky Germany, Schalke midfielder Weston McKennie wants a move to the Premier League after seeing Christian Pulisic’s success.
It’s claimed that Hertha Berlin want to sign McKennie, but he prefers a move to England – and has decided he wants to leave Schalke this summer.
The report notes that McKennie’s ‘best friend’ Pulisic is happy in England, and that has tempted McKennie into following him to the Premier League.
Schalke allegedly want up to €30million (£27million) for the midfielder, so much will depend on how much Premier League clubs can spend this summer.
CBS Sports claim that Liverpool want to sign him, whilst Everton, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also in the mix.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had a big impact on Pulisic’s career, and if he and McKennie are so close, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Chelsea star recommended working with the German.

Add in that McKennie is a star back in the United States, Liverpool’s American owners may be tempted to bring him to Anfield.
McKennie’s versatility to play a number of roles in midfield is surely appealing, and this latest news points towards a move to England – but there is major competition for his signature.
