The West Ham United winger has failed to live up to expectations during his time in London.
Reports emanating from Turkey today suggest that Galatasaray are close to signing Hammers flop Sofiane Feghouli, after agreeing a deal with the east London outfit to acquire the Algerian’s services, according to Turkish media outlet beinSPORTS.
The 27-year-old winger joined West Ham on a free transfer in the summer of 2016, amidst much fanfare, but the former Valencia star failed to establish himself at the London Stadium, contributing with just four goals and three assists in 27 outings in all competitions for the Hammers.
West Ham United’s Sofiane Feghouli
it could be argued that he was never really given a fair opportunity at West Ham, but either way, he never really endeared himself to the Hammers’ fanbase.
So there will not be too many tears shed form the east Londoners, following the news from Turkish media outlet beinSPORTS, who claim that West Ham have accepted a £3.9 million offer from Super Lig giants Galatasaray for Feghouli.
Slaven Bilic is expected to embark on a massive squad overhaul at the London Stadium this summer, and Hammers fans will be hoping that the Algerian’s reported impending exit will help kick-start the Croatian’s spending spree.
The east London outfit have only signed Pablo Zabaleta so far this summer, as Bilic continues to be frustrated in his attempts to sign some of his primary targets.
