West Ham United’s Reece Oxford could be on his way to West Brom.

According to the Daily Star, West Ham United midfielder Reece Oxford is ‘poised’ to sign for West Bromwich Albion to reunite with Slaven Bilic.
Oxford, 20, came up through the West Ham ranks, and burst onto the scene in 2015, starring for the Hammers in an opening-day win over Arsenal, leading many to predict a huge future for him.
However, Oxford has made just seven more Premier League appearances for West Ham, and he now looks set to move permanently after loan spells with Reading, Borussia Monchengladbach and Augsburg.
A permanent switch to Augsburg has hit the rocks, and it’s now believed that he will sign for West Bromwich Albion instead in a £4million swoop by new boss Bilic.
The Croatian landed the job last week, and it’s not exactly a huge surprise that he’s keen on Oxford having started him in that Arsenal game four years ago.
Oxford did lose his way under Bilic, but the new West Brom manager may feel that he’s better suited to life in the Championship than in the Premier League.

First-team football is the key for Oxford, and with West Brom releasing Gareth Barry, there’s at least a spot in the squad for a holding midfielder, whilst his ability to play centre back should help too.
If Oxford’s move is as close as this report claims, then Oxford would become Bilic’s first West Brom signing, and fans may well feel that they could see Oxford fulfil his potential after all at The Hawthorns.
