Nottingham Forest reportedly want West Ham United defender Reece Oxford.

The Daily Mirror reports that Oxford is looking set to leave the London Stadium this month. He has failed to kick on since his incredible Premier League debut which came as a 16-year-old against Arsenal.
Despite struggling to capitalise on that early promise, he has plenty of admirers. The Daily Mirror reports that the Gunners and Everton are keen on the 20-year-old, while Borussia Monchengladbach would like to bring their former loanee back.
But it appears that Forest are hoping to steal a march on their rivals. The Daily Mirror suggests that the Championship side are plotting an £8 million bid for the youngster as O’Neill’s men look to keep themselves in the play-off hunt.

It is probably not a huge surprise that Forest are keen on signing a new defender. O’Neill’s tenure is in its infancy, but the club have not kept a clean sheet since drawing with Derby last month.
Spending £8 million on Oxford could be deemed a gamble. But if he is able to get his career back on track, that seven-figure fee will look like an inspired piece of business, and could make a huge difference as Forest look to get themselves into the top six.
