West Ham United now reportedly need to consider balancing the books after a hectic summer, and Michail Antonio’s departure appears to be on the cards.

It has been an incredible summer so far for the Hammers fans. Felipe Anderson became their seventh addition of the window and the club’s most expensive purchase ever over the weekend.
The Irons have also captured the imagination with deals for the likes of Issa Diop, Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko. But it appears that Manuel Pellegrini needs to switch his attention somewhat and sanction some departures.

At the start of the summer, selling Antonio would have seemed like a massive gamble for the Hammers given that he was one of their main threats in the final third since arriving from Nottingham Forest.
However, given the strengthening that Pellegrini has done so far this summer, it seems to make a lot more sense for West Ham to seemingly sanction Antonio’s departure.
And Hammers fans will be hoping, if the deal does go through, that the funds help the club address the last one or two areas within the squad that Pellegrini probably still needs to add quality and depth to before they travel to Anfield on the opening day of the season.
