West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic is reportedly closing in on a move to the Chinese Super League.

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Marko Arnautovic has agreed a three-year deal with Shanghai SIPG, with just a few details left to be resolved before he seals his exit from West Ham.
There is surely no way back for the Austrian at the London Stadium after he submitted another transfer request just a few months after signing a new contract with the Irons.
And it appears that the forward is edging closer to securing his move away from the Premier League. Foot Mercato reports that he is all set to sign a three-year contract with the Chinese Super League side and the move is just a few details away from being finalised.
The report adds that West Ham are set to receive just under £36 million for the former Stoke City man.

As good as Arnautovic can be on his day, it would arguably be a very good bit of business to get such a fee for the 30-year-old now that he appears to have burnt his bridges with the club for good.
Arnautovic was not as influential during his second season with the Irons – despite only finishing one goal short of his tally from the previous campaign – and it looks to be better for all parties if he leaves the club now that he has submitted another request to leave.
West Ham are hardly going to kick themselves if Arnautovic is a success in China. And with £36 million in their transfer kitty, Manuel Pellegrini can potentially land a very good replacement – who actually wants to be at the club.
