Could West Ham United be on the verge of landing Brentford striker Scott Hogan with their fourth offer?
A report in The Sun has suggested that West Ham United have taken a big leap towards signing Brentford star Scott Hogan after their fourth bid met the Bees’ reported asking price.
The Hammers have seen three bids for the 24-year-old rejected by the Championship side – the most recent of which was worth £12.5 million (via The Sun) – as they held out for £15 million for the striker (via Daily Mail).

However, Slaven Bilic’s men have not been deterred in their pursuit of Hogan, and have now made an offer that adds up to the amount that Brentford reportedly want.
According to The Sun, the bid includes £9 million up front with a further £6 million potentially arriving in add-ons.

And while Irons supporters may be concerned that the way the £15 million is made up will see the Bees reject yet another bid, The Sun claims that the initial fee is not the part of the deal that has been disputed, but rather the amount that West Ham could subsequently pay in bonuses.
With that in mind, it may not be a surprise if this latest bid is the one that sees the Hammers finally put themselves on the brink of landing one of the second tier’s most lethal goalscorers so far this season.
