West Ham United youngster Declan Rice has enjoyed an outstanding season at the London Stadium.

According to a report from The Sun, West Ham’s Declan Rice is one of three English players on Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s summer wishlist – with Jadon Sancho and Aaron Wan-Bissaka also wanted.
Rice has enjoyed an outstanding campaign with the Hammers. The 20-year-old has formed a fantastic partnership with Mark Noble in the middle of the park for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
His form was rewarded with a call-up to the England squad during the most recent international break. And Gareth Southgate went on to hand Rice his debut and then his first start for the Three Lions as the World Cup semi-finalists kicked off Euro 2020 qualifying with two wins from two.
Unsurprisingly, Rice’s form is attracting attention. The Sun reports that the youngster has joined Sancho and Wan-Bissaka on Manchester United’s shopping list for the summer, with the West Ham ace rated at £40 million.

Manuel Pellegrini will be aware that keeping Rice is likely to become a tougher task as his development continues. He has been one of the most impressive young players in the Premier League this year, and it seems inevitable that he will set his sights on playing Champions League football at some stage in the future.
But Pellegrini should be quick to remind him how important the academy graduate is at the London Stadium. His development may be best served by staying where he is for now rather than heading to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.
