West Ham seem to be desperate to sign Cairney, with the London club having also reportedly tried for the 27-year-old midfielder back in the January transfer window.

According to a report on Skysports.com on January 29, 2018, the Hammers had not one but two offers turned down for the 27-year-old.
The Hammers reportedly made bids of £15m and £18m for Cairney, but Fulham are claimed to have turned both of them down.

No luck in the summer?
Fulham will play in the Premier League next season, and it is hard to see the Cottagers sell one of their best players in the summer transfer window, especially to a fellow London club.
West Ham are probably wasting their time trying to sign Scotland intenrtioal midfielder Cairney, and it is becoming a bit desperate.
