West Ham United have failed with a third bid for Brentford striker Scott Hogan.
According to The Guardian, Brentford have rejected West Ham United’s third bid for striker Scott Hogan, believed to be worth around £12.5million.
The Hammers desperately need to bring in a new striker, after summer signings Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza – signed on loan from Deportivo Maldonado and Juventus respectively – flopped at the London Stadium.

Neither player has even scored a goal for West Ham so far, and look set to leave East London this month, with manager Slaven Bilic searching for a new striker.
Brentford star Scott Hogan has emerged as a top target for West Ham, but The Guardian report that their third bid – this time worth £12.5million – has been rejected as well, having previously failed with £9million and £10million offers.

Hogan, 24, has hit 14 goals in 26 games for Brentford this season, having scored seven times in seven games at the end of last term, having spent 18 months out of action through injury.
Now, Hogan – a former non-league striker – is attracting major Premier League interest, but West Ham may have to considerably improve their offer if they are to lure the former Rochdale striker to East London this month.
It’s stated that Brentford are not only sticking to their £15million valuation of Hogan, but were also unhappy with the structure of West Ham’s offer, which was heavily weighted in bonuses amounting to the £12.5million fee.
With Watford also keen, West Ham need to make Brentford an offer they can’t refuse quickly, or they will risk losing out on their top striking transfer target.
