West Ham United will consider selling Reece Oxford as interest, particularly from Germany, begins to mount.
West Ham have recalled Oxford from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach halfway through a season-long loan.
The decision raised eyebrows as the young defender had just started to establish himself in the club’s first team.
Speculation had been rife the German club, and Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig, were considering making a permanent move for the England youth international.
But he was quickly brought back to East London with Hammers boss David Moyes telling the press he would be running the rule over Oxford and considering him for first team action.
The 19-year-old, who has attracted interest from Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal in the past, was promptly injured on his return.
And that has given rise to further speculation West Ham are prepared to let him leave the club.
West Ham are willing to sell Oxford on one condition, according to a new report in the Telegraph.
The report claims the Hammers are willing to accept £15 million for the 6ft 3in youngster with Germany his likely destination if either Monchengladbach or Leipzig reach that fee.
It will come as a blow to West Ham fans who have been desperate to see the club give Oxford an extended chance in the first team.
Oxford shot to prominence when he made his debut with a midfield masterclass in a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates in the opening game of the 2015/16 season aged just 16.
But he has been barely used since. Fans were puzzled when he came into the side and was man of the match for Europa League qualifying matches last season only to be dropped from the first team squad and farmed out on loan.
