According to The Daily Star, West Ham United are interested in signing Joshua King from Bournemouth before the summer transfer window in England closes on Friday.

It has been reported that the former Manchester United prospect is being tracked by West Ham.

However, according to the report, the Hammers do not want to pay more than £10 million for the 28-year-old, with Championship club Bournemouth looking for £20 million.

Joshua King Stats

King has played 23 minutes in the Championship for Bournemouth so far this season, while during the 2019-20 campaign, he scored six goals and provided four assists in the Premier League, according to WhoScored.

Back in 2018-19, the Norway international striker scored 12 goals in the Premier League, while in 2017-18 he found the net eight times and in 2016-17 he scored 16 times in the league, according to WhoScored.

£20 million too much for Joshua King?

Bournemouth will want to make as much as they can from King’s sale, but £20 million does seem a lot for a 28-year-old who has scored over 15 goals in a Premier League season just once in his career.

Moreover, with King now 28 years of age, the Norway international will have little resale value.
