Report: West Ham will listen to offers for Javier Hernandez

West Ham United only signed Javier Hernandez in the summer, but may be open to letting him go this month.

According to a report from The Telegraph, West Ham are willing to consider offers that come in for summer signing Javier Hernandez during the January transfer window.

Hernandez was the Hammers’ marquee signing during the previous window, with the London Evening Standard reporting that the club spent £16 million on bringing the former Manchester United striker to the London Stadium.

It has proven to be a mixed start to life with the Irons for Chicharito. For a long time, the 29-year-old was the club’s leading goalscorer in the Premier League, scoring four times before the end of October.

However, Marko Arnautovic has now taken that title with Hernandez now going nine games in all competitions without a goal – and it appears that David Moyes may be ready to cash in before the deadline.

The Telegraph reports that West Ham will listen to offers for the Mexico international as they look to raise funds to potentially make a permanent signing that they hope will help the Hammers in their battle to beat the drop this season.

West Ham go into this weekend’s trip to Huddersfield Town 15th in the table, and they will be hoping to extend the two point gap that exists between themselves and the division’s bottom three.
