Report: West Ham will get £23m for Marko Arnautovic

Marko Arnautovic is reportedly on his way out of West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

According to The Daily Mail, West Ham United will get £23 million as transfer fee for Marko Arnautovic in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that West Ham have agreed to sell Arnautovic to Chinese club Shanghai SIPG this summer.

The report has also claimed that the Hammers turned down a bid of £40m from a club in China in February, meaning that the London club are set to make a ‘loss’ of £17m.

According to The Guardian, West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is furious with the 30-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, and his teammates believe that it would be better if he is sold as soon as possible.

Arnautovic joined West Ham from Stoke City in the summer of 2017 for an initial transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £20 million.

According to WhoScored, the Austria international made 24 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Hammers last season, scoring 10 goals and providing four assists in the process.

During the 2017-18 campaign, the 30-year-old made 28 starts and three substitute appearances in the league for West Ham, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
