West Ham United have been linked with Ismaila Sarr.

According to L’Equipe, Watford are set to sign Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr in a deal totalling €35million (£32million), beating West Ham United to his signature.
The Hornets have been a little quiet in the summer transfer window so far, but may finish with a flourish thanks to a move for Sarr.
The Senegalese speedster has been a top target for Watford this summer, and now appear to have settled on a deal worth €30million (£27.5million) up front, and €5million (£4.5million) in add-ons.
That would be a hugely ambitious move from Watford, as Sarr has been linked with some huge Premier League clubs in recent times, especially after hitting 12 goals and eight assists last season.
Watford fans will be excited to see the 21-year-old arrive, and they appear to have fended off West Ham for his signature, with the report claiming the Hammers were a contender for his signature.
Sarr would have been a perfect addition for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, offering a natural, speedy winger alongside creative players like Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini.

However, having splashed out on Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller, West Ham’s budget doesn’t really have room for a £32million winger anymore.
They’ve surely missed out on Sarr, and will now have to play against him this coming season, which is far from ideal; they’ll just have to hope he doesn’t come back to haunt them.
