According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.
It’s claimed that West Ham are eyeing young talents like Bordeaux striker Josh Maja and Queens Park Rangers playmaker Eberechi Eze, but also Gibbs-White.
The report doesn’t state whether this would be a loan or permanent move, but it’s hard to see Wolves selling him this summer.
Gibbs-White is one of the top young talents at Molineux, with the 20-year-old on the Wolves books since the age of just eight.
The midfielder has now made 70 first-team appearances for Wolves, but this has been something of a frustrating season for him.
Gibbs-White has only managed seven Premier League appearances this season, struggling with a back injury.
Wolves will still have high hopes for Gibbs-White though, especially with Gary Lineker branding him ‘wonderfully talented’ in December 2018.
If West Ham want him permanently, it’s certainly an ambitious move from David Moyes and co, with Wolves surely viewing Gibbs-White as the future of their midfield.
