David Moyes’s West Ham United and Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace have joined Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United in the race for Leeds United full-back Cody Drameh, according to TEAMtalk.
West Ham United eye Leeds United’s Cody Drameh
The Daily Mail reported last month that Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Leeds youngster Drameh, described as “phenomenal” by former Cardiff City manager Steve Morison in WalesOnline in February 2022.
A right-back by trade who can also play on the left, Drameh has made one appearance in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup for Leeds so far this season.
TEAMtalk have now reported that West Ham and Crystal Palace have joined Newcastle in the race for the 20-year-old, who has just over 18 months left on his current contract at Elland Road.
Middlesbrough and Norwich City in the Championship like the youngster, while RB Leipzig have their eyes on him as well, according to the report.

Could a transfer happen?
In our opinion, Leeds United are unlikely to let West Ham United and Newcastle United target Cody Drameh leave in the January transfer window, especially on a permanent basis.
Maybe Leeds could do a loan deal until the end of the season so that the 20-year-old could get some playing time, but you have to question whether he would get that at Newcastle, Crystal Palace or West Ham.
It would make sense for Leeds to either keep the full-back and let him grow under head coach Jesse Marsch or send out on loan to a club in the Championship for the second half of the season.
