West Ham United are reportedly interested in the Leicester City man.
West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic
News emanating from France today suggests that the Hammers are interested in making a summer move for Foxes defender Yohan Benalouane, according to French media outlet Foot Mercato.
West Ham’s defence has been a real cause for concern this season, and Slaven Bilic will surely be looking to bolster his options during the summer transfer window.
Whether or not the 30-year-old Leicester centre-half would be an improvement on the Croatian’s current options though is debatable.
The Tunisian moved to the King Power Stadium in the summer of 2015 from Serie A side Atalanta, but has failed to establish himself as a first team regular for the East Midlands outfit during that time.
He has made just seven Premier League appearances for the Foxes this season, which begs the question why the Hammers are reportedly keen on adding him to their squad.

He is powerfully built, and standing at 6ft 2in tall, he is extremely capable in the air. He is cumbersome to say the least, however, and slow along the ground.
Benalouane is not the most accomplished of passers either, which would not suit the manner in which Bilic wants his team to play.
Despite all of this, Foot Mercato claim that West Ham are seriously considering an approach for the centre-back in the summer.
His contract with Leicester is not due to expire until the summer of 2019, however, so he would still command some kind of transfer fee.
