According to Estadio Deportivo, West Ham are interested in signing Alexis Sánchez, who is free to leave Inter Milan.
The 32-year-old earns €7 million-a-year (£6 million-a-year) at the San Siro.
However, with Inter Milan in financial trouble, they have asked Sánchez to leave, which he’s happy to do if he can find the right club.
Barcelona and Sevilla are interested, as too are West Ham, who know all about the 133-cap Chile international from his time at Arsenal.
Sánchez made 154 Premier League appearances in total during his time in England, scoring 63 goals while providing 31 assists.
In eight games against the Hammers, Sánchez scored four goals, including a mesmeric hat-trick at the London Stadium in the 2016/17 season.

In reaction to one of those goals back in 2016, Gary Lineker described the South American as a ‘brilliant’ player when taking to Twitter.
David Moyes wanted Sánchez in 2020
For those questioning the validity of Estadio Deportivo‘s report, it should be noted that David Moyes also wanted Sánchez last year.
Back in April 2020, the Daily Mail revealed that Moyes was keen to help the Chilean resurrect his faltering career.
After scoring seven goals – and registering eight assists – this season, you could say that Sánchez is showing some signs of a recovery.

However, he certainly isn’t the player he was at Arsenal anymore.
Having said that, Moyes is a great man manager, who has already helped breathe new life into some players at West Ham.
Can he do the same for Sánchez? Well, that remains to be seen.
