According to The Mirror (26/07, p77), West Ham United are seeking a loan deal for Real Madrid youngster Brahim Diaz.
It’s claimed that the Hammers want to take Diaz for next season, and Zinedine Zidane thinks a loan move would benefit him greatly.
West Ham would have to agree to give Diaz a certain amount of minutes in order for Real to loan him out, with the Spanish giants needing guarantees about his playing time.
Additionally, a final decision on Diaz’s future isn’t expected until mid-August, meaning there would be weeks to go until West Ham could sign him.
Diaz, 20, emerged with Malaga before heading to Manchester City at the age of 16, having been branded as a star of the future.
The Spanish attacker managed just 15 first-team appearances though, even with Pep Guardiola telling Goal in 2018 that he thought Diaz is ‘incredible’ in training and was showing his quality.

Having refused to sign a new deal at City due to a lack of playing time, he left for Real Madrid in January 2019. Sadly for Diaz, the story has been the same.
He’s played just 21 times for Real, scoring twice as he struggles to break into Zidane’s first team on any consistent basis.
A move to West Ham would see him have another crack at Premier League football, and possibly bring a versatile, creative option in the final third given his ability to play out wide or as a number 10.
