West Ham United are still being linked with Olympiakos left back Leonardo Koutris.

According to Sport24 in Greece, West Ham United are keen to bring in Olympiakos ace Leonardo Koutris – but only at the end of the season.

The Hammers have tied up a deal for free agent Samir Nasri, and it’s unclear just how many more signings Manuel Pellegrini will be looking to make this month.

Looking longer-term though, a left back may be on the radar, and The Telegraph recently reported that West Ham had been looking at Olympiakos star Koutris.

Now, Sport24 report that West Ham remain keen on Koutris, but are only looking to sign him at the end of the season.

That’s because the Hammers allegedly fear that Arthur Masuaku – a former Olympiakos left back himself – will be looking to move at the end of the season.

Koutris, 23, was born in Brazil but plays for Greece internationally, and has impressed for Olympiakos since making a 2017 move from PAS Giannina, showing real pace and attacking quality all up the left flank.

West Ham aren’t in need of him right now, but seem to have identified him in the belief that DR Congo international Masuaku will be leaving at the end of the season.

A £6million (Guardian) signing by Slaven Bilic in 2016, Masuaku has blown hot and cold for West Ham, and fans are split on whether he’s really a left back, so it’s unclear just where he would be moving on to this summer, but West Ham are allegedly preparing themselves anyway.
