David Moyes’s West Ham United and Sean Dyche’s Everton reportedly wanted to sign Nicolas Jackson, but he is about to move to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea instead.

West Ham United and Everton miss out on Nicolas Jackson to Chelsea

The Times have reported that Aston Villa, West Ham United and Everton all wanted to sign Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal in the summer transfer window, but the striker is on the verge of joining Premier League rivals Chelsea instead.

The report has quoted a source at Villarreal as saying that the Senegal international striker’s “behaviour is exceptional”, adding that he is “an extraordinary guy”.

The Athletic have reported that Jackson has completed his medical and will move to Chelsea for just over €35 million (£30.11 million).

Exciting young player

In our opinion, Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson is an exciting young player, and we are not surprised that Aston Villa, West Ham United and Everton all wanted to sign the 22-year-old in the summer transfer window.

Villa manager Unai Emery worked with the Senegal international striker at Villarreal.

We think that Chelsea are signing a real gem of footballer who could get better and flourish under head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

The Villarreal no. 15 made 16 starts and 10 substitute appearances in La Liga last season.

The striker scored 12 goals and gave four assists in those games.
