West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Cristian Pavon this summer.

Manuel Pellegrini is preparing for his first season with the Hammers and will be hoping that he can do the kind of business over the summer that will ensure that they face nothing like the relegation worries that David Moyes contended with during his tenure.

And it appears that he may have some exciting plans up his sleeve, as TEAMtalk reports that he is ready to give a potential swoop for the 22-year-old the go-ahead and the club are hopeful that they will able to sign Pavon during the coming months, with the forward reportedly interested in making the move to the Premier League.

With Pavon yet to play in Europe, there is a chance that a potential deal could be a gamble, but the youngster clearly boasts an enormous amount of talent, and Boca appear to be sure that he could make the kind of impact in Russia that would see his asking price rise considerably.
But given the amount of depth that Argentina boast going forward – they were, of course, able to leave Mauro Icardi out of their squad for the tournament – Pavon is clearly thought of as an extremely bright talent, so West Ham may rue not pressing to get a deal done by the time the World Cup kicks off as it would be little surprise if the interest in him intensifies over the next couple of months.
