According to The Sun, West Ham United are keen to take Arsenal defender Rob Holding on loan – and are prepared to pay £5million.
It’s claimed that David Moyes is giving up hope of signing Burnley defender James Tarkowski, having had two bids rejected for him.
That means Moyes is having to look elsewhere, and Arsenal defender Holding is believed to be a target.
David Sullivan is allegedly willing to pay £5million to take him on loan, and West Ham would even hope to land a permanent deal next summer.
Newcastle United had hoped to take Holding on loan, but with Arsenal facing defensive injuries, they wouldn’t let him go.
West Ham hope for more luck, despite the fact that Holding started in Saturday’s 3-0 win away at Fulham.

Holding, 24, has endured injury problems in the past, but now has a chance to nail down a spot in the Arsenal side under Arteta.
It seems unlikely that he would want to move on having been given this opportunity, but West Ham fancy their chances anyway.
