West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are both said to be keen on signing the AC Milan winger.
According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, West Ham are interested in signing AC Milan winger Suso, whilst Tottenham continue to monitor the Spaniard.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a decent campaign with Milan last season, racking up eight goals and nine assists in 41 appearances in all competitions, and he would be a decent acquisition for both the Hammers and Spurs.
West Ham and Tottenham both need more competition in their respective wide attacking departments, and Suso could be just the man for the job.
Italian publication Calcio Mercato claims that Hammers are interested in bringing the former Liverpool man to east London, whilst Spurs continue to monitor his situation at the San Siro.
Who needs him more, West Ham or Tottenham?
It could be argued that both clubs are in need of a player with Suso’s ability.
West Ham need more competition for the likes of Felipe Anderson, Robert Snodgrass and Michail Antonio, whilst Tottenham definitely need more creativity and guile in the final third, especially if they lose Christian Eriksen this summer.
The Hammers have just singed Pablo Fornals, however, and with Manuel Lanzini having recently returned from injury, they should be fairly well-stocked from a creativity point of view.
Despite Tottenham’s superiority over West Ham, the north London outfit might just need Suso more.
The 25-year-old has a £35 million release clause inserted into his current contract with Milan, according to the Mirror, and in today’s day and age, that would actually represent decent value for money.
