
According to Alfredo Pedulla, West Ham have now joined the race to sign Dominico Berardi, who Tottenham and Liverpool are also interested in.
What’s the story?
Well, after impressing at EURO 2020, a number of clubs are fighting to sign Berardi from Sassuolo.
The 26-year-old provided two assists in six games at EURO 2020 to help Italy win the whole tournament.
Now, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea, as well as West Ham, Tottenham and Liverpool, are all jostling to sign him.
Sassuolo have not made him untransferable. However, if they are to sell him, the Serie A side want €40m (£34.6m).
Pedulla believes West Ham have already lodged an enquiry about Berardi’s availability to Sassuolo.

Yes, David Moyes can offer targets Europa League football now.
However, West Ham still have a huge task on their hands to fend off the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.
As aforesaid, Berardi’s agent knows Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool want his client.
Elsewhere, Tottenham have also enquired, and their Sporting Director Fabio Paratici thinks the winger is a ‘great’ player.

In that respect, it will be hard for the Hammers.
Having said that, if Moyes can pull this off, West Ham would have a fantastic forward on their hands.
Berardi scored 17 goals in Serie A last season, and proved he can do it on the big European stage at EURO 2020 too.
