According to SPORT, West Ham are interested in signing Barcelona goalkeeper Neto, with a January move possible.
What’s the story?
Well, the Spanish news outlet claim that West Ham are the ‘best placed club’ to sign the Brazil international, who is free to leave.
SPORT believe Barcelona want €18m (£15m) for the 32-year-old, with West Ham keeping tabs on the situation.
However, they would also sanction a loan exit in January, as long as the club who sign him agree to an obligation to buy in the summer.
Barcelona spent £23.3m on the South American, who plays second fiddle to Marc-André ter Stegen at the Camp Nou.
So far this season, Neto has only made two appearances in La Liga, in which he has conceded three goals.
SPORT acknowledge that West Ham already have Lukasz Fabianski and Alphonse Areola, although they believe Neto would be the Pole’s replacement.
West Ham face competition from Arsenal

If West Ham are to bring Neto to the Premier League, they may have to fight off competition from Arsenal.
The Daily Mail believe Mikel Arteta wants another new goalkeeper following the arrival of Aaron Ramsdale, as Bernd Leno wants to leave.
Neto is among the options being discussed, as he was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium over the summer.

In fact, Mundo Deportivo revealed that the Brazilian glovesman wanted to join Arsenal at the time of these rumours, which is quite interesting.
It remains to be seen if he still holds the same stance.
If West Ham submit a bid in January, keep an eye on Arsenal – in our view, it could spark the Gunners into life, if they truly do want Neto.
