The West Ham United defender is well known to Bolton Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson.

West Ham United centre-back Reece Burke is poised for a loan move to Bolton Wanderers, The Sun reports [22 June, page 53].
Burke previously played under Bolton boss Phil Parkinson at Bradford City, where he was also on loan for West Ham and won the Bantams’ player of the year award.
The highly-rated 20-year-old also spent last season in the north west, but his spell at Wigan Athletic proved ultimately frustrating.
He was restricted to 10 appearances for the Latics, owing in part to a niggling hip problem.

Some West Ham fans have called for the likes of Burke and Reece Oxford to be given a chance at first-team level next season, although David Gold, the Hammers co-chairman, was dismissive of the suggestion when put to him last month.
Burke is by no means guaranteed a starting place at Bolton, who boasted League One’s best defence last term, conceding 36 goals overall – at least seven fewer than any other club.
Should West Ham United have given Burke a chance this coming campaign?
