West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini only wants to let Javier Hernandez leave if a replacement is signed.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez is keen to leave the London Stadium, but he won’t be let go by Manuel Pellegrini’s side yet.

Hernandez has only been given limited action at West Ham ever since he arrived back in 2017.

The Mexican now wants to depart in the hope of getting regular action, but Manuel Pellegrini’s side have fended off Valencia’s offer for the striker.

West Ham do not want to lose Hernandez now, as they want to get a replacement in first.

The Hammers could already see Marko Arnautovic exit, while Lucas Perez is also up for sale.

If Hernandez was to depart too then West Ham would lose three strikers in the same month, and that would be far from ideal.

The Hammers, therefore, are only looking to sell Hernandez if they are confident they have enough quality up-front to cope.

West Ham have been linked with a host of forwards now, with Pellegrini seemingly keen to bring in a new number nine.
