The Daily Mail has reported that West Ham United starlet Domingos Quina is set to join Sheffield United on a season-long loan.

Despite bags of talent, the 17-year-old has struggled for regular football at West Ham, playing a couple of games in the Irons’ Europa League campaign last summer.

And his first-team prospects remain bleak it would seem as The Daily Mail claim that the Irons boss Slaven Bilic has sanctioned a loan move to the Blades, with the youngster in Sheffield now undergoing a medical.

Slaven Bilic applauds his fans at the end of the Premier League match between Burnley and West Ham United at Turf Moor on May 21, 2017 in Burnley, England.

Due to his potential, Quina is a popular figure among Hammers fans and some supporters are disgusted at Bilic’s decision to loan him out, given that the East Londoners have lost all three of their Premier League games so far this season.

But the main source of the vitriol stems from the fact that West Ham were forced to pay Sheffield United £25 million in compensation eight years ago, after goals from Carlos Tevez – whose signing was found to have breached Premier League rules – effectively helped relegate the Blades in 2007.
