West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini is said to be keen to bring Callum Wilson to the London Stadium from Bournemouth.

Pellegrini feels Wilson would make a good addition to West Ham’s team, but Bournemouth don’t want to lose him.
The Cherries are asking for £60 million for the striker, who has just broken into the England squad.
As things stand West Ham’s board feel that Wilson does not represent value for money and they will push to sign Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo instead.
Gomez looks a considerably cheaper option that Wilson, but that does not mean he isn’t quality.
Gomez looks one of the brightest prospects in La Liga, and the 22-year-old would be a strong addition for West Ham.
Indeed, it may be that the Hammers’ board have made a good call over Wilson.

The rapid forward is a major threat, but at £60 million he would be a big risk.
Wilson is 27 and has already suffered one big injury during his career.
For West Ham to spend such a big fee on him would potentially be a mistake, and Pellegrini may just have to do without the Bournemouth man next season.
