According to The Daily Mail, West Ham United fans could be seeing up to three new faces arrive in East London during the January transfer window.

West Ham are going from strength to strength under new manager David Moyes, who oversaw a 3-0 win at Stoke on Saturday for what was their third successive clean sheet in a run of games that also included a victory over Chelsea last weekend and a 0-0 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday.

Consequence of their excellent form, the Irons have risen to 15th in the Premier League table, two points above the drop zone, but the Scottish manager isn’t resting on his laurels it seems.

The Mail has reported that Moyes is hoping to sign at least three new players in January, adding that all of them will have Premier League experience.

If true, the former Everton and Manchester United boss obviously wants tried-and-tested players who know England’s top flight and can help put further daylight between them and the danger zone.

The report goes on to claim that Moyes is specifically targeting midfield players, which might well support speculation from The Express that the 54-year-old is interested in Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere.

But an injury to Aaron Ramsey has seen a resurgent Wilshere start the Gunners’ last two Premier League games, having only started in the Europa League prior to that, so it remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger allows the 25-year-old – whose contract expires in the summer – to leave North London.
