West Ham United could land Willy Caballero on a free transfer, with his contract at Chelsea expiring.

West Ham want to sign a back-up goalkeeper to compete with Lukasz Fabianski, and Manuel Pellegrini favours a more experienced option.
Caballero certainly ticks that box, having spent the last five years of his career playing in England – and collecting both the League Cup and the FA Cup during that time.
Caballero and Pellegrini worked together at Manchester City earlier in their careers and know each other well.
And West Ham are keen to sign him on a free transfer, when his contract at Chelsea expires.

Caballero’s £40,000-a-week contract (Spotrac) at Stamford Bridge is due to expire in a few weeks’ time, and West Ham want to offer him the chance to join a new team almost instantly.
The Hammers are set to lose Adrian this summer, and Pellegrini sees Caballero as the ideal replacement for the departing Spaniard.
