West Ham United are set to invest in their squad in the January transfer window.
According to a report in the Daily Star, West Ham United will fail in their bid to sign Cesc Fabregas.
West Ham have reportedly been lining up a bid for Fabregas during the January transfer window, as Slaven Bilic feels the Spaniard would enhance the quality of his midfield options.
Fabregas has struggled for game time at Chelsea this term, and Antonio Conte apparently would be willing to sell the former Arsenal and Barcelona man.
However, Chelsea would rather Fabregas moves to a foreign team, rather than a domestic rival.
Fabregas also is said to want a move abroad, even though his family has settled in London.
West Ham will now have to look elsewhere in the January transfer window, as they prepare to invest in their squad.
West Ham have made a poor start to the new campaign, and Bilic wants to inject some more quality in to his team.
The Hammers have also been linked with Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, ahead of the next transfer window.
