West Ham United are reportedly ready to part with one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents.
West Ham United are set to take a big risk in the transfer market by allowing teenage midfielder Domingos Quina to leave in January, according to the Daily Mail.
The report explains that David Moyes cannot see a way through for the 18-year-old while the Hammers are battling relegation from the Premier League this season.
West Ham snapped up Quina for nothing from Chelsea’s academy in 2016 and are hoping to cash in and reap the profits next month, the Daily Mail understands.
The report adds that Liverpool have a strong interest and are likely to be leading the race for the signature of one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League.
Quina has made four senior substitute appearances for West Ham, including two this season in the EFL Cup, and has been capped by Portugal 22 times at youth level.
A move to Liverpool could only benefit the player because of Jurgen Klopp’s willingness to give youngsters opportunities, such as Dominic Solanke this term.
West Ham have struggled to bring players through their own academy in recent years, following the glut of England internationals they produced either side of the millennium.
Moyes may need to sell to fund his own January signings, but Quina’s lofty potential means that there is a risk that a decision to sell might come back to haunt the Irons.
