Report: West Ham United still interested in Fulham duo Ryan Fredericks and Tom Cairney

According to a report in the London Evening Standard, Manuel Pellegrini retains a strong interest in landing Tom Cairney and Ryan Fredericks for West Ham United this summer.

Cairney and Fredericks had first been identified as West Ham targets by previous boss David Moyes.

When the Scottish boss departed there were question marks over whether the Fulham duo would remain as targets for West Ham.

But the Standard claim that Pellegrini is indeed keen to bring them in, as he is also a fan.

Pellegrini is believed to have full control of transfers at West Ham, and he also has a sizeable budget to spend.

Whether the Chilean is successful in bringing Fredericks and Cairney to West Ham could depend on whether Fulham win on Saturday.

The Cottagers are set to play in the Championship play off final against Aston Villa this weekend, and if they are victorious, there is a belief at Craven Cottage that both the pair will stick with them for their first season back in the Premier League.
