West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen to bring in Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez.

Gomez was though to be West Ham’s first choice replacement for Arnautovic, when the Austrian was linked with a move to China.
However, it seems that Manuel Pellegrini’s men could push through a deal for the Celta Vigo striker, even with Arnautovic’s future sorted.
West Ham are willing to activate Gomez’s release clause of £43.2 million in a huge show of ambition from the London club.
West Ham may loan Gomez back to Celta to secure the deal this month, rather than waiting until the summer.

If the Hammers do get a deal for the 22-year-old over the line then he would be a massively exciting addition to their squad.
The powerful striker has hit nine goals in 19 La Liga games this season and is considered one of the most talented attacking prospects in Spain.
