West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere could return sooner than expected for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United a fearful over Jack Wilshere’s latest injury, but he could return far sooner than expected.

Wilshere has endured a miserable time at the London Stadium so far, with the summer signing making little impact since moving to West Ham in the summer.

The England international started in Manuel Pellegrini’s side, but damaged his ankle early on in the season.

Wilshere only just recovered from one ankle problem, before injury struck again.

Wilshere is now set for another spell on the sidelines at West Ham, although the Hammers are fairly uncertain over how long he will be out for.

A source at the club reportedly told the Mail: “It could be three weeks, it could be three days. It’s hard to tell at the moment.”

Jack Wilshere speaks during an England press conference session at St Georges Park on March 20, 2018 in Burton-upon-Trent, England.

If Wilshere could be back in three days it would be a major surprise to West Ham fans, who were fearing the worst over his latest injury problem.

There has been talk of Wilshere missing weeks of action, so if he is back in a short-time frame then it would be a boost to Pellegrini’s side.

There is no guarantees that Wilshere will break straight back into West Ham’s line-up when he does return to fitness though.

West Ham have won their last four matches on the bounce, with Pellegrini’s men hitting a good run of form.
